Overview

The gated property is fully enclosed, having an area 60,000 square feet, with unequalled privacy, separate guest house, and separate staff gatehouse/garage. The extensive gardens include a dry desert area with exotic specimens, many flower beds, three water elements, and over 10 types of palms, including more than a 100 large coconut palms.
Mariposa, including the guest house and pool, but not the staff gatehouse/garage, totals 13,000 sqft. A full-sized bar in the palapa covered lounge area, with large, heated, infinity pool and spa, overlooks Banderas Bay and the Pacific Ocean beyond. The modern kitchen with Viking and Miele appliances includes scullery, walk-in cold-room, and espresso/cappuccino machine. Adjacent outdoor BBQ and eating area as well as the living, dining, kitchen and media rooms are on the beach/garden level to enjoy sunsets and separation from pool level.
The villa is decorated throughout with earthy Mexican marbles, and tropical wood-working; accessorized with fabulous Mexican custom furnishings, folk-art pieces, paintings and sculptures from Mexican artisans and artists. There is satellite TV in the media room and master bedroom. BOSE stereo, and IPOD wired throughout the principal rooms, pool area, and three master suites. Wireless high-speed internet, plus a desktop computer in the office, Vonage telephone for no-charge contacts back home, an underground treatment plant and cisterns to treat all waste water for irrigation use are also features of this beautiful property. Safety is a priority with security guards on duty 24/7 throughout the common gated area of Ranchos Estates and along the beach. Four mountain bikes, table tennis, boogie boards, and three kayaks [one double] are on site.
Beach combing, walking, bird watching, fishing and whale watching are area favorite pastimes. From the palapa bar beside the pool, enjoy margaritas along with sunset views overlooking the sea. The sunset can also be admired from the beach-front garden area, from three of the bedrooms, and the three principal ground -floor rooms.
